Murray Douglas Real Estate is owned by Reg Murray and Ian Douglas.
Reg and Ian worked for John W Caroll Real Estate and were given the opportunity to buy it, and they did.
Murray Douglas continued the J W Caroll attitude of "Give good service, and the rest will come".
Combined, the two men have over 50 years experience in the real estate industry.
"If we don't know real estate by now we should give up," Reg said, confident with his experience.
Reg sold is first house in 1972, in what was then a rural Mt Druitt.
Ian and Reg met in 1959 when they moved into military housing in the same street at Mt Druitt.
Ian's father served in the Korean war and Reg's father in World War II.
They still reside in the region, with their families, parents and children.
Murray Douglas Real Estate now have 3 full-time staff and a number of part-time staff helping run the business.
